Abstract
Modern education is increasingly reliant on internet resources, par ticularly for independent foreign language learning. This empirical study investigates
the effectiveness of such resources in developing sociolinguistic competence among philology students. Employing both qualitative and quantitative assessment methods, including surveys, observations, and data analysis, the study reveals that students utilizing social media, language exchange platforms, and other online resources experience significant improvements in language skills, cultural understanding, and the application of knowledge in actual communicative situations. The findings highlight theimportance of a strategic approach to selecting and utilizing internet resources in language education and offer recommendations for their integration into the educational process.
